The project comprised the conversion of the former Cavendish Hotel, located on Worthing sea front, into a 8 new residential units. The building was completely striped and found to be in poor condition after years of battering from sea winds.  We developed a series of remedial details to restore the integrity of the building.

Internal load bearing walls were either removed or modified to create the optimum room layouts. The internal roof space was opened out to provide an additional floor. This was achieved by supporting the roof on new steel framing with tie rods designed to put minimal additional stress on the brickwork.
