This project consisted the construction of a new domestic residence and basement in the existing parking area to the rear of a block of flats in central Tooting.  The design comprised a new reinforced concrete basement with a traditional masonry and steel hybrid structure above, and mass concrete underpinning to the neighboring building.

The design of this structure was complicated by the presence of the northern line tube tunnel just 7m away.  SD Structures lead the process of gaining permissions for the excavation, commissioning ground movement analysis studies and collaborating with the London Underground asset protection engineers to achieve all necessary approvals.
