Belgravia Mews
Belgravia

A 3.5m deep basement was created below the full footprint of this Mews house in Belgravia. Given the compact size of the ground floor the structural was carefully designed to maximum the usable usable space by utilising ‘special’ foundations. The depth of the basement provided generous floor to ceiling heights which also maximised the feeling of the space. All internal walls were removed at ground floor and steel frames introduced. A carefully considered sequence of work was developed and agreed with the contractor to ensure the work was completed safely and with the minimum of disruption.
