This domestic renovation consisted the full refurbishment including loft conversion and contemporary exposed concrete rear extension.
The key design challenge was to develop a structural solution utilising the architectural requirements for high quality exposed reinforced concrete when structural steel dominates the sector. Drawing on our expertise in exposed concrete (Tate Gallery, St Ives) we supported the architect in developing the concrete specification and developed key details to minimise thermal bridging issues.
