This private development consisted of the excavation of a large basement structure under the property and the rear garden, the construction of a new fully glazed rear extension, a hip to gable loft conversion, and widespread internal modification to the building.

Taking the project through the contentious planning regulations all the way to construction, SD Structures put together a structural engineers method statement and underpinning methodology. The design utilised ‘special foundations’ to significantly increase the usable basement area when compared to traditional underpinning techniques.
