Basements and Deep Excavations
BIA, CMS, underpinning
Basement are an increasing popular way to add additional space to a house or new development. Whilst basement construction is often viewed as risky it is perfectly safe if designed by experienced Chartered Engineers and built by competent contractors.
There are many different ways to construct a basement. Structural safety is at the core of what we do but we go further by ensuring our designs are economical to build and maximise the internal space.
SD Structures have designed numerous basements across London from new build double storey commercial buildings, to underpinning and domestic basements under listed buildings.
