Andy is a Director and Co-Founder of SD Structures, starting the practice in 2014 alongside Mike.
He is a Chartered Engineer, and his expertise extends beyond buildings to include bridges and offshore structures. Andy was a finalist in the prestigious James Rennie Medal Presentation for his work on long span transfer structures and extensive construction and piling works adjacent to live underground railways.
Andy is a strong proponent of technology, and ensures that SD are aware of and implementing current innovations in design and materials. This approach enables extensive optioneering and cost benefit analysis during the early development of projects – this has proven invaluable for our clients, cost consultants, and design teams.
He enjoys pushing structural boundaries, and relishes bold ideas which force creative thinking beyond the rigid methods generally adopted in the industry.
