Callum’s early fascination for architecture and engineering originated from watching the popular British TV show Grand Designs. An unmissable event growing up, those innovative ideas and beautiful home designs always left him wanting to discover more.

He always knew he wanted to be involved in the design of beautiful buildings, but it was only when he started using Revit that he knew he had chosen the right career path. The satisfaction of seeing his drawings turning into actual buildings is still unmatched to this day.

The subtle complexity of domestic projects might have drawn him into building design in the first place, but it’s overcoming the challenges of larger projects that gives him a higher sense of achievement. Upon joining SD, he started working on Clichy Estate producing detailed drawings and models and contributing to the delivery of the project on time and within budget. Over the years, Callum has worked on numerous BIM level 2 projects and built a wealth of experience, becoming our BIM Manager.

Callum never shies away from a good design challenge – be it meeting a tight deadline or problem-solving with the rest of the design team, he always strives to find the right solution. He is one of the senior team members of SD and he is involved in the implementation of QA processes, ensuring our drawings reach the highest quality before they get issued.

Outside of SD, Callum is a passionate golfer and when he is not looking after his beloved dog Eddie, he can be found on a tennis court or cheering for the Spurs at one of their games.
