The project involved the complete demolition and rebuilding of a mid-terraced London property. From the road the new building looks just as the existing did however as a new build, modern construction materials were used throughout. New steel frames were used to achieve open plan living in the ground floor and doubled as temporary works during the demolition.
Chimney stacks were retained and supported on steel frames in the roof to provide maximum internal space. The foundations were carefully arranged to avoid deep Thames Water sewer pipes in the garden.
